An exciting role as a Inventory Coordinator based in Danbury, Connecticut.

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for assisting in managing the inventory of chemicals and related materials to ensure a smooth and efficient supply chain. This role includes monitoring inventory control, tracking stock levels, and communicating with various departments to maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet production demands. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in inventory management within a chemical or manufacturing environment.

This involves a range of activities including:

  • Review chemical inventory, ensuring accurate tracking of stock levels.
  • Work with procurement (requisitions) and production teams to ensure materials are available for schedules and forecasts with instruction of Operation Manager
  • Assisting Operations Manager with monitoring inventory turnover and work with the team to minimize stockouts or overstocking.
  • Prepare inventory reports, maintain and create inventory tools, and provide graphs and data for various functions.
  • Attend Forecasting and Planning Meeting and take meeting minutes.
  • Coordinate off site storage with Operations and Receiving.
  • Under Operations Manager direction, work closely with other departments, such as Quality Control, Purchasing, and Shipping, to ensure smooth coordination.
  • Update necessary reports and systems with accurate data. (Currently S&OP).
  • Reports on raw material needs for new processes or significant process changes.
  • Review daily orders with Operations Manager and identify actionable items.
  • Communicates to production required material grades.
  • Aids in tracking pheromone synthesis progress.
  • Helps coordinate raw material trials and tracks progress and results, from Purchasing quote to Production implementation.
  • Support to Operations Manager on daily basis, helping with additional tasks and projects as needed.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

You Offer…

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or Business-related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in inventory control, preferably in a chemical or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software (ERP, SAP, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of chemical safety regulations and compliance is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Math skills
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Complies with all BRI environmental and safety policies and procedures.
