THOMAS THOMSON (1773-1852) commented in that “chemistry, unlike other sciences, sprang originally from delusions and superstitions, and was at its commencement exactly on a par with magic and astrology.”
We could argue that chemistry has come a long way since then and, since our founding in 1972, so has Bedoukian Research.
We would like to take a moment to recognize John Setaro.
John was the first employee hired after the founding of Bedoukian Research, and the second chemist to work with Dr. Paul Bedoukian. Not too many people can lay claim to being employee number 001 and fewer still to have worked 48 years for the same company.
John managed our distillation department for 40 years, serving also as in-house quality control for many of the early years. Bedoukian’s reputation for high-quality ingredients can be traced directly to the skill and care demonstrated by John Setaro.
Today is officially John’s first day of a well-deserved retirement. John, we thank you for your loyalty, love of chemistry, and tireless dedication to help Bedoukian Research become what it is today.
We wish you all the best and hope you enjoy your retirement as much as we enjoyed having you working here.
