We Offer…

An exciting role as a Compliance Manager based in Danbury, Connecticut. This function oversees compliance with the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). This function prepares and submits dossiers for imported raw materials, synthesized intermediates and final chemicals. This function is responsible for relevant paperwork and reporting requirements to maintain TSCA compliance. Directs activities related to Clean Air Act/Air Permit on state and federal level. Responsible for ensuring monitoring and record keeping for existing New Source Review Permit (air). 

This involves a range of activities including: 

  • Work with Regulatory Team to develop a formal Compliance Focused Environmental Management System. 
  • Prepare and submit TSCA LVE/PMN submissions to USEPA
    • Follow up with USEPA to shepherd submissions to successful completion
  • Annual EPCRA/TRI reporting
  • CDR reporting every 4 years
  • Submit 12b notices as required for applicable chemicals
  • Prepare import certifications for Purchasing department
  • Coordinate 3rd party testing as needed
  • Prepares documents, reports and memoranda.
  • Participate in BRI and industry TSCA advocacy issues where necessary.
  • Stay informed of the status of chemicals being reviewed by USEPA for TSCA enforcement
  • Keep current with any changes to TSCA regulations
  • Oversee compliance with state air permit and associated federal requirements.
  • Ensure monitoring and recordkeeping requirements for Clean Air Act compliance are met.
  • Compile records for air compliance per permit requirements.
  • Maintains regulatory records for Federal, State and local compliance.
  • Complies with all BRI environmental, and safety policies and procedures.     
  • Performs related work as assigned.

You Offer…

  • A 4-year college or advanced degree in a Related Technical, Scientific, or Engineering Discipline. With a minimum of five (5) years of experience directly related to the TSCA duties and responsibilities specified. Experience in Clean Air Act requirements preferred, but not required. Knowledge of toxicology, chemicals, manufacturing techniques and relevant areas of environmental and safety regulations is desirable.
  • Experience with TSCA requirements and history preparing LVE/PMN submissions.
  • Knowledge of chemistry and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to gather relevant toxicological data including choosing candidates for read-across/bridging.
  • Experience with Clean Air Act requirements or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to prepare technical governmental dossiers.
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain proper records.
