Maintenance Shop and Parts Coordinator 

We Offer…

An exciting role as a Maintenance Shop and Parts Coordinator in our Production Facility based in Danbury, Connecticut.

This function will be responsible for supporting the Maintenance Department by maintaining a fully stocked, organized and efficient maintenance shop. This includes ensuring all parts, equipment and tools are stocked, in working order and organized for each shift. This function will also provide hand-on support for the maintenance team as needed.

This involves a range of activities including:

You Offer…

  • Knowledge of the mechanical operation of equipment such as pumps, boilers, heaters, and other plumbing components
  • Organize maintenance shop and ensure inventory is up to date in the computer system
  • Keep maintenance log and track tools, parts and equipment for all shifts
  • Pull parts, materials and tools requested for projects for all shifts
  • Order maintenance supplies, parts, equipment, tools and more as needed
  • Perform regular inspections of maintenance equipment, tools and supplies and diagnose, fix or let supervisor know of any issues
  • Ensure equipment and tools are field ready at all times
  • Answer phones and manage communication on behalf of maintenance
  • Act as a point of contact with outside vendors to place orders, verify accuracy, and manage invoicing
  • Assist in tracking of maintenance projects, and ensure tracking system reflects work done
  • Prepare correspondence, reports and written materials as needed
  • Maintain current knowledge relevant to state-of-art technology, equipment, and/or systems
  • Ensure proper care, safety and maintenance of equipment and supplies
  • Assist team members in other tasks as necessary
  • Provide hands on support for maintenance team as needed
  • May operate machine tools to fabricate parts
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • May operate forklift and other heavy machinery
  • Assist with routine inspection and maintenance on building system components
  • Assist in administrative work as needed
  • Comply with all BRI environmental, and safety policies and procedures

You offer…

  • Ability to record and/or log equipment operational status
  • Skill in the use of computers, inventory management tools and related software applications
  • Ability to utilize, test, maintain and modify a range of maintenance and engineering equipment and apparatus
  • Ability to assist with building and testing engineering and/or scientific systems and components
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems maintenance and repair
  • Plumbing installation, maintenance and repair
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control
  • Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions and manuals. Ability to write reports containing technical information
  • Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade
  • Organizing and coordinating skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral. Able to develop and deliver presentations
  • Ability to comply with all BRI environmental and safety policies and procedures
