An exciting role as an Application Systems Analyst based in Danbury, Connecticut. This function would support the IT team. This position will implement dashboards and reports to support data analytics and business intelligence initiatives. This function will provide expertise in visual representation of data by analyzing and implementing functional user requirements for data related requests. This position will leverage creative solutions with analytical skills to provide best in class dashboards and reports. The Data Analyst must have technical skills that the Data Analyst wants to continue to grow in, along with soft skills like organization and attention to detail.

This involves a range of activities including:

  • Create dashboards and reports for various applications being used such as the ERP application software (Chemical Management System), Telemetry Database, and other third-party software.
  • Design, develop and implement Tableau dashboards to support data analytics and business intelligence initiatives
  • Design, develop and implement custom Crystal reports to support data needs and business processes.
  • Schedule reports for automatic emailing to various departments.
  • Perform thorough quality assurance to ensure the accuracy of data and information
  • Evaluate report and dashboard quality, consistency, usability, and reliability by documenting and applying best practices to design and development.
  • Support performance, quality, and improvement efforts to help streamline processes through data analysis and visualization.
  • Liaison between IT and other departments to deliver meaningful analytics in support of business performance and objectives.
  • Interface with end users to determine their needs and map these needs into existing functionality or suggest alternative methods or solutions.
  • Monitor employee support requests that are submitted through the Help Desk and address these requests in a timely manner based on impact to the organizational mission and operations.
  • Coordinate resources to promptly and cost-effectively address employee requests with a strong focus on communicating the plans and current status.
  • Analyze current metrics and reporting, identifies gaps, and work with IT leadership to create and improve metrics.
  • Keep IT management informed of all technical issues that adversely impact key business systems or processes.
  • Perform related work as assigned.
  • Complies with all BRI environmental and safety policies and procedures.

You Offer…

  • A 4-year college degree in mathematics, finance, economics, computer science or similar field plus two (2) years of related experience or 5+ years of related experience with work experience only.
  • Must have an excellent understanding of database systems, SQL, and data structures and the ability to design, develop and implement dashboards and reports.
  • Proficient with Tableau or similar Business Intelligence tool and creating visual representations of data.
  • Experience with Crystal Reports, SQL queries, Excel.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft SQL Server database system.
  • Skills in data analysis, data manipulation, and problem solving.
  • Skills in dashboard and report design.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Professional verbal and written English communication skills.
